High level of chloride in water causes corrosion in pipes, pumps and other machines. Drinking water with increased level of chloride in human causes kidney damage, diarrhea, vomiting etc.

• Test Procedure
• Take 10ml of water sample.
• Add Chloride reagent R1.
• Tirate with R2.
• End point is brick red color.
• Count the number of drops & multiply it with a factor.

Chloride= No. of drops *Multiply with factor = X ppm
